We all know hygiene is important. Things like keeping your lunchbox clean or vacuuming your room are both examples of hygienic things to do, so personal hygiene is just another way of being hygienic. Personal hygiene is about keeping your body clean by taking care of it and making sure you are always feeling and looking great!
It can seem tiring to wash your hands before every meal or thoroughly brush your teeth twice a day, but these things help keep you healthy and happy. Those with poor personal hygiene can sometimes get sick or look untidy, so you have to ensure you have strong personal hygiene and maintain it throughout the day.
Staying Healthy
Personal hygiene is not just about how you look, it also keeps you strong and healthy. Do you remember why you wash your hands before every meal? Your hands touch a lot of things during the day, so they may pick up a lot of germs that can get you sick if they got into your body. So, before you eat, you have to wash your hands with soap and water to get rid of these germs.
There are many other examples of personal hygiene, but each act of cleaning yourself has a very important reason behind it. You brush your teeth to make sure you don’t get cavities and you shower to keep your body clean. All of these things help protect you from dangerous germs that can hurt you or make you feel ill. We all know it is awful to be sick, that is why we have to pay special attention when it comes to personal hygiene.
Being Aware of Others
Although being healthy is very important, it is not the only reason we have personal hygiene. Having good personal hygiene makes sure we look great! Think about how strong your body odor is after you play outside all day. Now think about how it would be if you neve showered. That would not be very pleasant for you or those around you!
Having good personal hygiene is another way of being considerate to your friends, family, and everyone else you spend time with. It communicates to them that you are clean, healthy, and considerate.

If you don’t have very good personal hygiene, you may become self-conscious when you are around other people, or you may just not feel very good. It is not as difficult as it may seem to stay fresh and clean throughout the day. By cleaning yourself regularly, you can be sure that you are presenting the best version of yourself to those around you.
We all have bodies, and so we all have body odor and other personal hygiene needs that we have to take care of. This is why everyone has to take the time to have good personal hygiene habits and routines. By using personal hygiene products like deodorant and following the care routine given to you by your parents, teachers, or doctors, you will be just fine!
