Organization
As you get older and become more mature, you will have more responsibilities, and part of that is learning how to be organized. This means keeping your things in an orderly way and planning your activities or tasks appropriately. Like everything else you will learn about as you get older, it takes a little time to strengthen your organization skills.
It can seem like a big challenge, but it is actually very rewarding and easy when you get the hang of it! Becoming more organized will change how you approach your day to day life, but it will also improve everything from your fun times to your work times.
How to Become Organized
Different people will organize their things in different ways. There are as many ways to be organized as there is to pack a bookbag or arrange a desk. This best way to keep things orderly is to organize them in a way that makes it easy for you to do the things that you need to do.
Think about the space you use for activities, like where you play games with your friends or where you have martial arts practice. Organization is the key to keeping these places tidy and usable. If things were scattered on the floor or simply left out of place, you would not be able to take advantage of all the space you need.
However, you may need to use certain things like toys or equipment during your activities, so you need to have them close at hand and easy to reach. With the proper organization, you can help make activities go much smoother and have even more time to enjoy yourself.
The Tools You Can Use to Stay Organized
Good organization can’t just be in your mind, it is easy to get distracted and forget about how things need to be. This is why we use tools to help keep ourselves organized and ready to go. Some of these tools you already use daily, like cubbies or closets.
When you enter a new space, you should learn how things are kept organized and do your best to make sure you help tidy up after every use. This shows everyone that you are responsible and caring, and that you value this space.
Another important tool you can use to stay organized is a planner. You may be given one at school or at your clubs, but they are a great way to stay organized and order your week appropriately. You will need to pay a lot of attention to the stuff going on during your week, as well as the tasks you have to complete for certain days, but being prepared will be worth it!
Why is Organization so Important?
Have you ever felt anxious or scared about missing an important assignment? Or lost an important item because of a messy room? Having good organization skills will help prevent these things from happening and help you feel more comfortable and confident every day! When you are prepared, you can meet any challenge in your way.
